INPUT SIGNALS
1. Engine Speed.
NOTE
When starting, current is supplied to the clutch proportional to the cranking speed.
2. Accelerator ON/OFF.
NOTE
A micro switch on the accelerator pedal detects pedal movement and tells the ECU to energise the clutch. The switch also prevents stalling when the vehicle comes to a halt.
3. Throttle position.
NOTE
Throttle movement is detected by the ECU, and clutch current is adjusted accordingly.
4. Brakes.
NOTE
Brake system operation is monitored, and clutch current modified accordingly.
5. Selector lever position.
NOTE
Switches located adjacent to the selector lever detect "D", "Ds" and "R" modes.
6. Vehicle speed.
NOTE
A vehicle speed sensor is located in the transmission casing, and senses output shaft speed.
7. Coolant temperature.
NOTE
Clutch current is adjusted to compensate for variations in engine temperature, ie if the engine is cold, the stalling point is raised.
8. Air conditioning.
NOTE
Aircon operation is sensed, and clutch current is adjusted to ensure that the engine stalling point is correct.
9. ABS.
NOTE
Clutch current is switched off during ABS operation.
