OVERALL SYSTEM - Control Mechanism

To select the gear ratio which produces driving force on the basis of driver's decision and vehicle status, the system detects vehicle driving status such as vehicle speed and throttle position, selects the optimum gear ratio in TCM, and decides the gear shift timing. Then the system sends the signal to the shift control solenoid valve to control oil pressure to the input pulley, positions the pulley, and controls the gear ratio.
