ASSEMBLY - Assembly (Cont'd)
AT-123prose procedureNote printed value '0.46 - 0.97 kg-m' for 6x10 mm strainer bolt torque appears inconsistent with the matching N·m range (4.5-5.5); preserved verbatim as printed.
Assembly (Cont'd)
Assembly steps 62-66
- 62Fit the oil strainer.Use a new O ring, ensure it is installed correctly.Strainer, bolt torque = 6 x 40 mm = 8.5 - 9.5 N·m (0.87 - 0.97 kg-m, 6 - 7 ft-lb)Strainer, bolt torque = 6 x 10 mm = 4.5 - 5.5 N·m (0.46 - 0.97 kg-m, 3 - 7 ft-lb)
UAT269 - 63Fit the oil pan.Ensure the magnet is seated in the concave area of pan, and is clean and free from foreign matter.Do not re-use the old gasket.Oil pan bolt torque = 5.5 - 6.5 N·m (0.56 - 0.66 kg-m, 4 - 5 ft-lb)
UAT271 - 64Fit the inhibit switch. Partially tighten the securing bolts.
UAT272 - 65Fit the selector linkage, spacers and spring pins. Tighten the lock nut while holding the linkage with 8 mm dia. pin (refer to disassembly procedure). Torque = 36 - 42 N·m (3.7 - 4.3 kg-m, 27 - 31 ft-lb)
- 66Align the inhibit switch using a 4mm. dia pin through the linkage as shown. Tighten the switch securing nuts. Torque = 4.5 - 5.5 N·m (0.46 - 0.56 kg-m, 3 - 4 ft-lb)
