    Position the input shaft on the press table.
    Transaxle casing inverted and positioned on the press table; the input-shaft end protrudes through the bearing bore and rests on a block on the press table.

    Install 5th input gear.
    5th input gear being pressed onto the input shaft using drift tool KV32910010 from above. The press tool label is called out with an arrow. The mainshaft is visible to the right.

    Use a new spring washer and snap ring to secure the 5th input gear.
    Top of the transaxle case with the new spring washer (loose, top-left) and snap ring (loose, lower) about to be installed on the 5th-input-gear shaft. The shafts protrude from the case.

    Install the spring washer and snap ring.
    Check snap ring is correctly fitted into the bottom of the groove.
    Snap-ring pliers expanding the snap ring around the splined mainshaft above the case while the spring washer sits below it. Drift tool KV32910020 is called out with an arrow pointing to the supporting block beneath the gear.

    Install the washer, spacer, needle bearing, 5th main gear and the baulk ring.
