Replacing Oil Seal

DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL

Replacing differential oil seal

  1. 1
    Drain gear oil from transaxle.
  2. 2
    Remove drive shafts. Refer to section FA.
  3. 3
    Remove differential oil seal.
    Hand using a drift through the differential opening of the transaxle case to remove the old differential oil seal.

    Install differential oil seal using SST KV329I0050 and KV329I0051.
    Apply multi-purpose grease to seal lip of oil seal before installing.
    Special tool SST KV329I0050 (drift) being used to install the new differential oil seal into the transaxle case.
