Transaxle assembly (continued)

    Install the reverse idler gear and the idler shaft, rotate the shaft until the step falls into its housing.
    Transaxle gear-train installed in the casing viewed from above with the reverse idler gear and idler shaft visible to the left of the main gear stack. A black arrow points to the step on the idler shaft that must seat in its housing.

    Install the circlip and spring on the 1st fork shaft.
  3. 16
    Apply liquid sealant to the mating surface of the transaxle casing.

    Position the engagement shaft seal and the clutch release lever.

    Install the transaxle casing and tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
  6. 19
    Install the bearing retainers (chamfer to the top) and tighten the new pre-coated bolts to the specified torque.
