    Position the fingers onto the hub.

    Insert the springs and balls into the fingers.
    A hand holds the synchronizer-sleeve/hub assembly with a flat-blade screwdriver depressing the spring-loaded balls at the top while pressing the hub into the sleeve. A loose shift insert (finger) with its spring and ball sits in the foreground beside the third/fourth synchronizer hub.

    Press on the balls and insert the hub assembly into the sleeve.

    Repeat 3rd/4th synchronizer assembly procedure for assembling 5th synchronizer.
    Check hub and sleeve orientation, pay attention to the direction and the marks made on disassembly.

Mainshaft assembly

    Install new mainshaft front bearing.
    Vertical line-drawing of the mainshaft front-bearing installation. A long press tool sits on top of a shorter pilot tool, with arrows pointing at part numbers KV32910014 (upper) and KV32910070 (lower). The bearing is being pressed onto the mainshaft from above using these special tools.

    Install new snap ring and mainshaft sleeve.
