Input shaft rear bearing (continued)

Apply sealant to welch plug and install it on transmission case, then press fit new bearing.

Mainshaft front bearing outer race

  1. 1
    To avoid damaging oil channel, use a puller which has thinner pawls.
    Slide hammer / puller with thinner pawls being used to extract the mainshaft front bearing outer race from the transmission case (to avoid damaging the oil channel).

    When installing new oil channel, align its cutout portion with oil groove in transmission case.
    Inside the transmission case showing the new oil channel being installed; arrows indicate alignment of the cutout portion with the oil groove in the case.

    Press bearing outer race.
    Bearing outer race being pressed into the case with a drift; star markers indicate location.
