Transaxle disassembly (continued)

    Remove oil pocket, shift check ball, check spring and check ball plug.
    Top of clutch housing with oil pocket area exposed; callouts identify the check spring, shift check ball and check ball plug being removed.

    Drive retaining pin out of striking lever, then remove striking rod, striking lever and striking interlock.
    Select a position where retaining pin does not interfere with clutch housing when removing retaining pin.
    Be careful not to damage oil seal lip, when removing striking rod. If necessary, tape edges of striking rod.
    Special tool KV32101000 (pin punch) being used to drive the retaining pin out of the striking lever.

    Remove reverse check plug, then detach reverse check spring and check balls.
    Top of clutch housing with reverse-check bore exposed; callouts identify the reverse check plug, reverse check spring, check ball (Large) and check ball (Small) being detached.

    Remove check sleeve assembly.
    Removal of the check sleeve assembly from inside the clutch housing.
