MA5L disassembly (continued)

    Remove the input shaft snap ring and spring washer.
    Top view of the input shaft and mainshaft tops in the housing with the input shaft snap ring, spring washer, mainshaft needle bearing, spacer and washer being lifted off.

    Remove the mainshaft needle bearing, spacer and washer.

    Remove the input shaft 5th gear using a suitable puller.
    Suitable puller installed on the input shaft 5th gear to pull it off the shaft.

    Remove both rear bearing retainers.
    Both rear bearing retainers with arrows showing direction of removal — bolts unscrewed and retainers slid outwards.

    Remove casing bolts and transaxle casing.
    Transaxle casing being lifted off after the casing bolts have been removed.

    Remove reverse idler shaft and gear.
    Reverse idler shaft being pulled out alongside the reverse idler gear with the gear stack still in the clutch housing.
