Input shaft front oil seal

Selection lever oil seal

Selection lever oil seal — replacement

    Drive out the retaining pin of the selection lever. Remove selection lever, shaft and oil seal.
    A hammer and punch driving out the retaining pin of the selection lever from the transmission case.

    Install selection lever oil seal using a suitable drift.
    Selection lever oil seal being installed with a suitable drift; an inset shows the cross-section of the seal seated in the bore.

5th/reverse gear inhibitor mechanism

Drill out the rivet to remove the inhibitor mechanism. Install with a new rivet.

Differential right-hand side bearing outer race

Differential RH side bearing outer race — removal

  1. 1
    Drift out the bearing using a suitable drift.
    Bearings removed can not be re-used.
    Mechanic using a drift on the differential right-hand side bearing outer race to drive it out of the case.
