Transaxle assembly

    Install selection lever and shaft with a new retaining pin.

    Install the differential, spring and reverse fork locking finger.

    Apply liquid sealant to the mating surface of the intermediate plate.
    Intermediate plate (shift-fork support plate) being lowered into place onto the case; a black arrow points to the matching passage / slot, and the letter 'A' labels the passage through which the selection fork must fit. A curved arrow shows the seating motion.

    Install the intermediate plate, note that the selection fork fits through passage A.

    Tighten the intermediate plate bolts to the specified torque.
  6. 6
    Attach shift fork assembly to mainshaft.
    Mainshaft + input-shaft assembly with shift-fork rods and forks attached, being lowered by hand into the transaxle case. The shift forks engage with the synchronizer sleeves on both shafts.

    Couple the mainshaft with the input shaft.

    Install the complete assembly into the casing.
