Synchronizer assembly (continued)

    Use a punch to press the ball seat and insert the finger.
    A punch pressing the ball seat down into the synchronizer hub while the finger (shifting insert/key) is inserted. Label: 'Finger'.

    Insert the ball and press it with the punch.
    Punch inserting the ball; the hub has been rotated so that notch B (labelled) aligns with hole no. 2 of the tool.

    Rotate the hub until the second notch B aligns with hole no. 2 of the tool.

    Repeat procedure for assembling the other springs, ball seats, fingers and balls.

    Insert the sleeve into the tool.
    Check hub and sleeve orientation, pay attention to the direction and the marks made on disassembly.
    Sleeve seated inside the tool, ready to receive the hub. Label: 'Sleeve'.

    Holding the tool on the sleeve, insert the hub into the sleeve using KV32910050.
    Tool KV32910050 (upper) pressing the hub down into the sleeve which is supported by tool KV32910080 (lower). Two hands stabilise the upper tool.

    Remove the tools.

    Assemble the 3rd/4th synchronizer hub and sleeve.
    Check hub and sleeve orientation, pay attention to the direction and the marks made on disassembly.
