Install the following parts

    the 1st gear (17)
    Full-width exploded view of the mainshaft gear stack. Left column shows the lower stack with numbered callouts 4 (washer at top), 5 (gear), 6 (baulk ring), 7 (1st/2nd synchronizer assembly with fork groove labelled 'B'), 8 (baulk ring), 9 (snap ring), 10 (1st gear), 11 (snap ring). Right column shows the upper stack with callouts 12 (4th gear), 13 (baulk ring), 14 (3rd/4th synchronizer assembly with fork groove labelled 'A'), 15 (baulk ring), 16 (snap ring), 17 (3rd gear). Right side shows the bare mainshaft shown vertically with its splines and rear bearing seat.

    Install new mainshaft rear bearing, groove E must be positioned upwards.
