Transaxle assembly (continued)

  1. 12
    Install reverse idler shaft and reverse idler gear. Pay attention to cutout portions of this shaft.
    Reverse idler shaft and reverse idler gear being installed; pay attention to cutout portion(s) on the shaft for proper orientation.

    Place magnet on clutch housing.
    Magnet being placed on the clutch housing inside the case (callout 'Magnet').

    Install both reverse bracket assembly and guide plate.
    Reverse bracket assembly and guide plate being installed onto the clutch housing.

    Install transmission case.
    Transmission case being installed on the clutch housing; position switch (callout) being installed on top.

    Install position switch.
  6. 17
    Install shift check, reverse check and 5th check component parts. Apply sealant to threads of plugs.
    Shift check, reverse check and 5th check component parts being installed; '5-speed only' callout points to the 5th check plug on top.
