AIR BAG warning lamp flash pattern — Diagnosis mode

AIR BAG warning lamp flash pattern — Diagnosis mode —After IGN ON, AIR BAG lamp ON 7 sec, then OFF 3 sec, then (a)/(b) markers repeated (2 sec spans). (SRS333)
Marker meaning(a) through (b) are repeated.
SRS condition- Diagnosis results (previously stored in the memory) might not be erased after repair. - Intermittent malfunction has been detected in the past. Go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 8 (BF-7054).

AIR BAG warning lamp flash pattern — Diagnosis mode —After IGN ON, AIR BAG lamp ON 7 sec, then OFF 3 sec, sequence a, b, c, d, a, b ... (2 sec / 2 sec). (SRS341)
Marker meaning(a) through (d) are repeated. (b) — Driver and passenger air bag marker (For identifying driver, passenger air bag and/or front seat belt pre-tensioners malfunctioning). (d) — Indicates malfunctioning part. The number of flash varies with malfunctioning part (0.5 sec. ON and 0.5 sec. OFF is counted as one flash.)
SRS conditionThe system is malfunctioning and needs to be repaired.

Inspect SRS malfunction parts using AIR BAG warning lamp — Diagnosis mode (continuation)

    Malfunctioning part is indicated by the number of flashes (part (d) or (f)). Compare the number of flashes to "Air Bag Warning Lamp Flash Code Chart", page BF-7054, and locate malfunctioning part.

    Turn ignition switch "OFF", and disconnect both battery cables.

    Repair the system as outlined by the "Repair order" in "Warning Lamp Flash Code Chart" that corresponds to the flash code. For replacement procedure of component parts, refer to "Removal and Installation — Diagnosis Sensor unit, seat belt pre-tensioner and Satellite Sensor" in BF section of Service Manual.

    After repairing the system, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 7, page BF-7051.
