WARNING
Do not disassemble the air bag module.
CAUTION
- Before servicing SRS, turn the ignition switch off, disconnect battery ground cable and wait for at least 3 minutes.
- Always work from the side of driver airbag module.
Air bag module and spiral cable — removal
- 1Remove lower lid from steering wheel, and disconnect airbag module connector.
SBF811E - 2Remove side lids. Using the tamper resistant torx (size T30) torx bit, remove left and right special bolts. Driver air bag module can then be removed.
