DOOR LOCK AND POWER WINDOWS — TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS — Diagnostic Procedure 1
BF-17flowchartTest A uses ignition OFF with the switch disconnected; test B uses ignition ON with connectors reconnected.
Diagnostic Procedure 1
NOTE
SYMPTOM: All power windows cannot be operated.
Diagnostic Procedure 1 — all power windows cannot be operated
1
Check continuity or Power Window supply fuse (10A), supply fuselinks and Circuit Breaker. (Refer to Schematic and Wiring Diagram.)
N.G.
Investigate cause of failure. Repair fault and/or replace 'blown' fuse or fuselink.
O.K.
2
A — CHECK DRIVER'S SIDE POWER WINDOW SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT.
1) Turn off ignition switch.
2) Disconnect switch connector (D7).
3) Use ohmmeter to check continuity between terminal 3 and body ground. Continuity should exist.
N.G.
Repair harness, connector or ground connection.
O.K.
3
B — CHECK DRIVER'S SIDE POWER WINDOW SWITCH POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT.
1) Connect main switch connectors (D6 and D7).
2) Turn on ignition switch.
3) Check for battery voltage at terminals (4) and (16).
N.G.
Repair harness.
O.K.
Refer to Diagnostic Procedures 2, 3 and 4.
