Intermittent Malfunction DTC Chart — SRS (part 1)
NO DTC IS DETECTED.
ExplanationWhen malfunction is indicated by the "AIR BAG" warning lamp in User mode
- Low battery voltage (Less than 9V).
Repair orderGo to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 3 (BF-7039) after charging battery.
NO DTC IS DETECTED.
ExplanationNo malfunction is detected.
Repair orderGo to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 3 (BF-7039).
AIRBAG MODULE [OPEN]
Explanation- Driver air bag module circuit is open. (including the spiral cable)
Repair order1. Visually check the wiring harness connection.
2. Replace the harness if it has visible damage.
3. If the harness check result is OK, replace driver air bag module (Before disposal of it, it must be deployed.), diagnosis sensor unit and spiral cable.
AIRBAG MODULE [VB-SHORT]
Explanation- Driver air bag module circuit is shorted to some power supply circuit. (including the spiral cable)
Repair order(same as AIRBAG MODULE [OPEN])
AIRBAG MODULE [GND-SHORT]
Explanation- Driver air bag module circuit is shorted to ground. (including the spiral cable)
Repair order(same as AIRBAG MODULE [OPEN])
AIRBAG MODULE [SHORT]
Explanation- Driver air bag module circuits are shorted to each other. (including the spiral cable)
Repair order(same as AIRBAG MODULE [OPEN])
ASSIST A/B MODULE [VB-SHORT]
Explanation- Passenger air bag module circuit is shorted to some power supply circuits.
Repair order1. Visually check the wiring harness connection.
2. Replace the harness if it has visible damage.
3. If the harness check result is OK, replace passenger air bag module (Before disposal of it, it must be deployed.), and diagnosis sensor unit.
ASSIST A/B MODULE [OPEN]
Explanation- Passenger air bag module is open.
Repair order(same as ASSIST A/B [VB-SHORT])
ASSIST A/B MODULE [GND-SHORT]
Explanation- Passenger air bag module is shorted to ground.
Repair order(same as ASSIST A/B [VB-SHORT])
ASSIST A/B MODULE [SHORT]
Explanation- Passenger air bag module circuits are shorted to each other.
Repair order(same as ASSIST A/B [VB-SHORT])
SIDE MODULE LH [OPEN]
Explanation- Side air bag (LH) module circuit is open.
Repair order1. Visually check the wiring harness connection.
2. Replace the harness if it has visible damage.
3. If the harness check is OK, replace the diagnosis sensor unit and Side air bag (LH) module. (Before disposing the Side air bag (LH) module, it must be deployed.)
