Side air bag module — installation (continuation)
- 6Connect side air bag module connector.
NRS082 - 7Connect both battery cables.
- 8Go to "SRS Operation Check" and perform self-diagnosis to ensure entire SRS operates properly. (Use CONSULT-II or air bag warning lamp).
Deployment procedure for air bag module and seat belt pre-tensioner (outside of vehicle)

- 1Secure the passenger air bag module on the air bag module bracket (SST: KV99105300), using the module's special bolts.
NRS022 - 2Firmly anchor the air bag module bracket in a vise.Make sure the air bag module lid is facing away from you during deployment.
- 3Connect deployment tool adapter (SST: KV99108300) to deployment tool (SST: KV99106400) connector and connector of the air bag module.
NRS030 - 4Connect red clip of deployment tool to battery positive terminal and black clip to negative terminal.
SRS020-B - 5The lamp on the right side of the tool, marked "deployment tool power", should glow green, not red.
- 6Press the button on the deployment tool. The left side lamp on the tool, marked "air bag connector voltage", will illuminate and the air bag module will deploy.When deploying the air bag module, stand at least 5 m (16 ft) away from the air bag module. Preferably stand to the side of the module.
