BF-2009wiring diagramSquib has two pins (3 and 4); the firing signal travels through the spiral cable so the steering wheel can still rotate. Diagnosis sensor unit has an internal condenser that holds enough charge to deploy the airbag even with the battery disconnected — hence the 10-minute wait stated on BF-2002.

CAUTION
• Do not use a circuit tester to check the air bag module harness connectors; otherwise, unexpected deployment may occur.
• Do not attempt to repair, splice or modify the SRS "Air Bag" wiring harness. If the harness is damaged, replace it with a new one.
• Keep body grounds clean and corrosion free.
