DOOR LOCK AND POWER WINDOWS — TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS — Diagnostic Procedure 3

BF-19flowchartUnverified

Test D's table prints terminal '21' in the Voltage column rather than '24' as named in the procedure text — preserving as printed.

Diagnostic Procedure 3

Diagnostic Procedure 3 — front passenger side power window cannot be operated

1
A — CHECK POWER WINDOW LOCK SWITCH POWER SUPPLY. 1) Turn ignition switch 'ON' (main switch 12-pin connector (D6) connected). 2) Check voltage at terminal (14) while operating power window lock switch.
N.G.
Replace power window main switch.
O.K.
2
B — CHECK PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT. 1) Disconnect power window switch connector (D14). 2) Check continuity between terminal (26) and body ground. Continuity should exist.
N.G.
Repair harness or ground connection.
O.K.
3
C — CHECK PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW SWITCH POWER SUPPLY. 1) Connect power window switch connector (D14). 2) Check voltage between terminal (21) and body ground.
N.G.
If fusible links, fuse (10A) and circuit breaker are O.K. repair harness.
O.K.
4
D — 1) Ensure that the power window lock switch on the driver's main control switch is switched to 'UNLOCK'. 2) Check voltage between passenger side power window switch (terminal (24)) and body ground.
N.G.
Repair harness between power window lock switch and passenger side power window switch.
O.K.
