CAUTION
Replace air bag module if it has been dropped or sustained an impact.
Do not expose the air bag module to temperatures exceeding 90°C (194°F).
Do not allow oil, grease or water to come in contact with the air bag module.
After air bag inflates, all parts of front seat back (including front seat back frame) should be replaced.
Installation — Side air bag module
Install side air bag module
- 1Install side air bag module on seat back frame with new torx nuts coated with bonding agent.Tightening torque: 6.1 - 7.7 N·m (0.62 - 0.79 kg-m, 53.8 - 68.6 in-lb)
NBF356 - 2Install side air bag connector.
- 3Install the seat back trim. Refer to "Front Seat" for details.
NBF357 - 4Secure the inner cloth which covers the side air bag module with bolts.Tightening torque: 6.1 - 7.7 N·m (0.62 - 0.79 kg-m, 53.8 - 68.6 in-lb)
- 5Connect side air bag module connector.
NBF355 - 6Install seat back board with new clips.
- 7Connect both battery cables.
- 8Go to "Self-diagnosis" and perform self-diagnosis to ensure entire SRS operates properly. (Use CONSULT or air bag warning lamp.)
