NOTE
If no malfunction is detected on "SELF-DIAG [CURRENT]" but malfunction is indicated by the "AIR BAG" warning lamp, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 4, page BF-7041, to diagnose the following cases:
- Self-diagnostic result "SELF-DIAG [PAST]" (previously stored in the memory) might not be erased after repair.
- The SRS system malfunctions intermittently.
Inspect SRS malfunctioning parts with CONSULT-II (continuation)
- 8Touch "PRINT".
- 9Compare diagnostic codes to "CONSULT-II Diagnostic Code Chart", page BF-7037.
- 10Touch "BACK" key of CONSULT-II until "SELECT SYSTEM" appears in order to return to User mode from Diagnosis mode.
- 11Turn ignition switch "OFF", then turn off and disconnect CONSULT-II, and disconnect both battery cables.
- 12Repair the system as outlined by the "Repair order" in "CONSULT-II Diagnostic Code Chart", that corresponds to the self-diagnostic result. For replacement procedure of component parts, refer to BF-7037.
- 13After repairing the system, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 3, page BF-7039 for final checking.

3. Replace driver's air bag module. (Before disposing of it, it must be deployed.)
4. Replace the spiral cable.
5. Replace the diagnosis sensor unit.
6. Replace the related harness.
