CAUTION
When removing or installing hood, place a cloth or other padding on hood. This prevents vehicle body from being scratched.
Bumper fascia is made of plastic. Do not use excessive force and be sure to keep oil away from it.
NOTE
Hood adjustment: Adjust at hinge portion.
Hood lock adjustment: After adjusting, check hood lock control operation. Apply a coat of grease to hood locks engaging mechanism.
CAUTION
Hood opener: Do not attempt to bend cable forcibly. Doing so increases effort required to unlock hood.
REMOVAL — Front bumper assembly
Remove front bumper assembly
- 1Remove clips securing bumper fascia lower side.
NBF376 - 2Remove screws securing left and right sides of fender protectors.
- 3Remove screws securing left and right front fenders to bumper fascia.
- 4Remove screws and nuts securing the headlamp assembly, then disconnect harness connectors. (B)
- 5Remove screws securing left and right radiator core support side to bumper fascia. (C)
- 6Extract bumper fascia assembly. Then disconnect harness connectors. (Models with fog lamp assembly)
- 7Remove bolts securing bumper stays, then remove the bumper stays.Bumper assembly mounting bolts (★) tightening torque: 13 - 16 N·m (1.3 - 1.6 kg-m, 9 - 12 ft-lb)
Fog lamp assembly (Models with fog lamp assembly)
Remove fog lamp assembly
- 8Remove screw securing fog lamp assembly. (D)
- 9Extract fog lamp assembly.
