Disassembly

  1. 1
    Drive out elastic pin from cylinder body.

    Remove reservoir tank and seals.
  3. 3
    Remove piston retaining pin through secondary port. Apply pressure to plunger and remove pin with long-nose pliers.

    Remove the circlip while plunger is pushed into the assembly.
  5. 5
    Remove piston assemblies.
    Wear eye protection and protective clothing.
    If it is difficult to remove secondary piston assembly, gradually apply compressed air through fluid outlet.

Inspection

Check for the following items.
Master cylinder
Pin holes or scratches on inner wall.
Piston
Deformation of or scratches on piston cups.
Piston guide assembly
Damage or damage on seal surface.
Rubber seals
Slits, damage on seal surface.
