Removal

Master Cylinder Removal

  1. 1
    Remove air cleaner (LHD only).
  2. 2
    Disconnect low fluid warning light harness.
  3. 3
    Connect a vinyl tube to air bleeder valve.
  4. 4
    Drain brake fluid from each air bleeder valve, depressing brake pedal to empty fluid from master cylinder.
  5. 5
    Remove brake pipe flare nuts from master cylinder.
  6. 6
    Remove master cylinder mounting nuts.

    Reposition fuel filter bracket (LHD only).

    When removing master cylinder from booster, block hole into booster to prevent ingress of dirt, etc.
