    Remove piston assemblies. If it is difficult to remove secondary piston assembly, gradually apply compressed air through fluid outlet.

    Draw out reservoir tank.

    Insert secondary piston assembly. Then insert primary piston assembly.

    Install new stopper cap.

    Install master cylinder seal.
  4. 4
    Install reservoir tank oil seals.
  5. 5
    Push reservoir tank into master cylinder.

Installation

  1. 1
    Place master cylinder and filter bracket onto brake booster and secure mounting nuts lightly.
  2. 2
    Fit flare nuts to master cylinder.
  3. 3
    Tighten mounting nuts.
  4. 4
    Tighten flare nuts.

      Specification: 15 - 18 N·m (dry) (1.5 - 1.8 kg-m, 11 - 13 ft-lb)

    Bleed air. Refer to "Bleeding Procedure" in "AIR BLEEDING".
  6. 6
    Connect low fluid warning light harness.
  7. 7
    Refit air cleaner.
Flare nut tightening torque (dry)
147 - 177N·m
