TROUBLE DIAGNOSES — Diagnostic Procedure 8 — ABS Warning Circuit (L.E.D. continuously off)

L.E.D. continuously off = ABS warning lamp never illuminates. Step A (jumper pin 36 to ground) is the diagnostic shortcut: if the lamp lights, the C/U drive side is open; if not, the lamp/circuit upstream is the fault.

ABS WARNING CIRCUIT (L.E.D. continuously off)

A — CHECK ELECTRIC CIRCUIT OF ABS WARNING LAMP. Disconnect Control Unit connector. Check if ABS warning lamp is on when terminal ㊱ is connected to body ground.

B — CHECK ACTUATOR RELAY CIRCUIT. Disconnect actuator connector. Check continuity Terminal 11-14 0Ω.

Replace actuator.

C — Disconnect actuator relay connector. Check continuity between relay side terminal and body ground.

Replace ABS Control Unit.
