BR-29prose procedureLinings are asymmetric: leading 4.5 mm vs trailing 3.0 mm standard. Adjuster orientation is wheel-side-specific (LH vs RH) — fitting the wrong handed adjuster will cause the self-adjuster to back off rather than tighten.
Inspection — Lining
NOTE
Check lining thickness.

Installation
- 1Apply brake grease to the contact areas shown at left.
SBR096B - 2Shorten adjuster by rotating it.
SBR094B - 3Connect parking brake cable to operating lever.
- 4Apply brake grease where adjuster assembly contacts operating lever.
UBR024 - 5Install all parts.
- 6Check all parts are installed properly.
SBR097B - 7Install brake drum.
- 8When installing new wheel cylinder, bleed air. Refer to "Bleeding procedure" in "AIR BLEEDING".
CAUTION
Pay attention to direction of adjuster assembly.
