TROUBLE DIAGNOSES — Diagnostic Procedure 2 (Cont'd)
HA-49flowchartMultiple lettered branch markers (F/G/H/I/J) are in-page sub-flow labels, not off-page links. Off-page links are B (incoming) and D (outgoing).
Diagnostic Procedure 2 (Cont'd)
Magnet clutch does not operate — thermo control amp / dual-pressure switch / ECCS branches
1
B — From previous page (continuation from O.K. on coil-side circuit).
O.K.
2
F — CHECK VOLTAGE FOR THERMO CONTROL AMP. Do more than 8 volts exist between thermo control amp. harness terminal No. 44 and body ground.
N.G.
G — Check circuit continuity between thermo control amp. harness terminal No. 44 and dual-pressure switch terminal No. 44.
O.K.
3
C — Connector C in flow (entry into thermo-control-amp power-supply branch).
4
CHECK POWER SUPPLY FOR THERMO CONTROL AMP. Do approx. 12 volts exist between thermo control amp. harness terminal No. 34 and body ground?
N.G.
CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT AND 10A FUSE AT FUSE BLACK. (Refer to POWER SUPPLY ROUTING in EL section and Wiring Diagram.)
O.K.
5
I — CHECK BODY GROUND CIRCUIT FOR THERMO CONTROL AMP. Disconnect thermo control amp. harness connector. Does continuity exist between thermo control amp. harness terminal No. 22 and body ground?
O.K.
Replace thermo control amp.
N.G.
6
Disconnect A/C switch harness connector.
7
J — Check circuit continuity between thermo control amp. harness terminal No. 22 and A/C switch harness terminal No. 22.
O.K.
8
D — Go to next page.
NOTE
If the result is N.G. after checking circuit continuity, repair harness or connector.
