Lubricate hood latches, locks, hinges, fuel filler door hinges and other lock/striker points as illustrated.
Checking Seat Belts, Buckles, Retractors, Anchors and Adjusters
- 1If the vehicle has been involved in a collision or has been overturned, replace all seat belt assemblies, regardless of nature of accident.
- 2If the condition of any component of a seat belt is questionable, do not have seat belt repaired, but replaced as a belt assembly.
- 3If webbing is cut, frayd, or damaged, replace belt assembly.
- 4Do not spill drinks, oil, etc. on inner lap belt buckle. Never oil tongue and buckle.
- 5Use a NISSAN genuine seat belt assembly.

Check anchors for loose mounting. Cover must be fitted. Check belts for damage. Check retractor for smooth operation. Check functioning of buckles and tongues.
IMPORTANT
After a frontal collision — with or without occupants — the rear cushion striker assemblies must be replaced. (Spil cushion only)
