CHASSIS AND BODY MAINTENANCE — Exhaust System / Clutch System / M/T Oil

MA-17prose procedure

Three manual transaxle variants (RS5F41A / RS5F30A / RS5F31V) have different oil capacities and drain-plug torque values.

Checking Exhaust System

Check exhaust pipes, muffler and mounting for improper attachment and for leaks, cracks, damage, loose connections, chafing and deterioration.

Checking Clutch System

Check cable and links for improper attachment, chafing, wear and deterioration.

  2. 2
    Check oil level.
Never start engine while checking oil level.
Make sure the car is parked level. Check the oil level through speedometer cable hole. Use a straight wire or small ruler to measure the oil level from the top of the hole. The level should be in between "H" and "L". If topping up is required, add oil until "H".
