Wheel hub and knuckle removal

    Remove wheel bearing lock nut while depressing brake pedal.

    Remove brake caliper assembly.
    Brake hose does not need to be disconnected from brake caliper. Be careful not to depress brake pedal, or piston will pop out.
    Make sure brake hose is not twisted.
    Support the caliper. Do not allow it to hang by the brake hose.

    Remove tie-rod ball joint.
    Fit the nut (inverted) to the stud to prevent damage to the threads.
    Tie-rod ball joint being separated from the knuckle using a ball-joint separator tool. Tool number 'HT72520000' is labeled at the top. The nut is fitted inverted on the stud to protect the threads.

    Separate drive shaft from knuckle by lightly tapping it.
    Cover boots with waste cloth so as not to damage them when removing drive shaft.

    Remove strut lower mounting bolts.
