ENGINE LUBRICATION SYSTEM — Oil Pressure Check

LC-5prose procedure

Discharge-pressure spec differs between CG10DE and CG13DE; values are tabled separately. The 650–750 rpm CG13DE upper bound (0.785–1.1[?]7 bar) shows a faded middle digit on the scan; flagged with [?].

Oil Pressure Check

Oil Pressure Check

  1. 1
    Check oil level.
  2. 2
    Remove oil pressure switch.
  3. 3
    Install pressure gauge.
Line drawing showing the oil pressure check setup at the engine: the ST25051001 oil pressure gauge is connected via the ST25052000 hose to the engine's oil-pressure-switch port. Labels at the figure call out ST25052000 (hose, on the left) and ST25051001 (gauge, on the right).
    ULC005
  4. 4
Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
  5. 5
Check oil pressure with engine running under no-load.
If difference is extreme, check oil passage and oil pump for oil leaks.
  6. 6
Install oil pressure switch with sealant.
