Adjusting accelerator cable

    Insert grooved abutment of accelerator cable into rubber bush.
    Top view of the injection-pump end of the accelerator cable. Shows the fuel pump lever connected to the inner cable, with the spring clip retaining the grooved abutment in the rubber bush. The accelerator cable enters from the right; the inner cable end connects to the lever via a hole.

    Make sure fuel pump lever is in fully shut position and connect inner cable end in hole closest to grooved abutment.

    Pull back grooved abutment until inner cable free play is taken up and fuel pump lever starts to move. From that position, move grooved abutment forward one complete groove to achieve free play.

    Insert spring clip in first visible groove behind rubber bush (make sure arrow on spring clip points in direction shown). Ensure spring clip fully engages grooved abutment behind rubber bush.
